Kitty Birthday Card-- Experiment

Just experimenting with a card design I came up with in terms of coloring style. I was heading in a different direction, but somehow drifted this way. Not sure how I feel about it however.

I'm going to try to do this card design a different way and see if I like it better.

Done in Adobe Photoshop CS3 on my Macbook Pro.

Painter Experiment

My school recently offered free Painter X for all of it's students, so of course I downloaded it. This was my first time using Painter, as well as working digitally so please keep that in mind if you want to critique it. It was done completely freehand with a tablet.I personally think it is ok for a first try, but I might scrap it later. I wanted to submit something since I haven't gotten a chance to scan anything.
