Severus made his way into the broken home in a daze. He couldn't believe...he just had to see her body for himself.
He made his way up the stairs, stepping over the body of James. It didn't matter...all that mattered was Lily. He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw her body lying on the ground, still as a statue. He ran over to her body, holding her close. He sobbed, his heart broken. Her eyes were wide open, her beautiful green eyes, and he gently closed them, unable to hold her stare. He wanted to die. It was all his fault....

Not in the book, but I thought maybe Snape would have gone to the house to say goodbye to his beloved.
